AFTER 3 MONTHS HAVING BLOG

I feel very proud of myself. Yes, definitely! Maybe for some people it is not that crucial but for me, it's quite 'EXPENSIVE' experience. I haven't using blog before and now I know how to use it. After three months learning computer science with MR. AC, I know that I have too many weaknesses in the technology especially computer part.

Actually, what I have learnt in CSCI? hahaha. Too much of things till I can't remember the whole things, LOL. But, obviously, his class is very entertaining. Really, really interesting and interactive. I haven't find that kind of class in ADP except for CSCI. Yes, only CSCI! Certainly, it makes difference from the other courses. Okay2, now I can figure out some of the assignments that he asked us to do. BLOG, POWERPOINT PRESENTATION, FRONTPAGE, EXCEL ETC. It's quite enjoyable. Haaa!! Video! Yes, video. I really love that video presentation.

After all, I can conclude that CSCI class is the best ever! Thanks to MR AC and my friends. Without all of you, definitely, I won't be able to follow the class lesson. :)

FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM!!

Last week, when i went to Sunway Pyramid and I saw a woman with her handbag. I could see that she was so depressed because she did not find her mp3 to listen to music. It is not convenient right??After that, she her cellphone rang and it was the funniest thing ever because she could not find her hp as well. At last, she found her mp3 with it's earphone tied together to the cellphone. It took time right. As I am a student, I really hate to be in that situation so, I've decided to find another gadget which include almost all the application that I commonly use in daily life. Yeah!!I'm gonna find Nokia's Rock-Solid E71 Smartphone. The E71 has a great spec sheet, a slim and solid body, and the powerful S60/Symbian system lurking inside. Hope it can make my life easier and comfortable.

INPUT AND OUTPUT!!

FIRSTLY, the smartphone is a multifunction phone include a QWERTY keyboard, a D-pad or touch screen, a built-in camera, built-in navigation hardware and software, media software for playing music, internet browsers, browsing photos and viewing video clips, contact management, an accelerometer, the ability to read business documents and secure access to company mail which are considered as input devices. So I don't have to bring many gadgets with me when I need to travel alone. Even, it can replace the laptop's function as well as it has the internet browser and I can check my email via it. I can also listen to the music easily as I only have one gadget and i don't have to seek for many gadgets! I can also view my videos and pictures just in one click. Damn fast right,yeah!

On the back of the E71 I can find a 3.2 Megapixel camera with autofocus. Next to the camera I can find a little LED and a little mirror for self-portraits. Although the E71 is a business device it still offers a bunch of camera preferences. After I opened the camera-application I can see a toolbar on the right side. In this toolbar I can find a bunch of icons – switching from camera to video mode and back, scene modes, flash mode, self timer, sequence mode, colour tone, white balance, exposure compensation and viewfinder grid. Thus, I can get to access this smartphone easily when capturing the pics. Instead, the output which is the picture will definitely satisfy me as I can edit and choose the best posture for the camera when taking the picture.

The E71 also can record videos up to 1 hour of length as well. With 240×320 pixels and 15 frames per seconds . This isn’t anything special but still good enough for uploading to OVI, YouTube, watching on the PC or on the device itself. To improve or change the video-quality, we can choose between various modes. For example color tones like sepia or negative, white balance like sunny or cloudy and finally scene modes like auto or night. Therefore, the video that I produced can be very clear, sharp, and editable.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Unlike many traditional cell phones, this smartphone allows me to install, configure and run applications that I like. Usually, standard cell-phone software offers only limited choices for re-configuration, forcing me to adapt to the way it's set up. For instance, on a standard phone, whether or not I like the built-in calendar application, I'll stuck with it except for a few minor tweaks. If that phone were a smartphone, I could install any compatible calendar application I like. Its worth right to own a smartphone!!

This smartphone also contains Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band WCDMA (850/1900MHz) which support for AT&T’s high-speed 3G network pair nicely with WiFi for data and calling.


Though smart phone has multifunction but it has some disadvantages. The most obvious one is too tiny controls around the D-pad and the keypads are also too cramped. So it makes difficult for the user to press the right keypads. Sometimes, our finger will feel the pain as we used to be very beware when pressing the button on the smart phone.


Other disadvantage of this kind of smart phone is it requires expensive wireless data plan to make sure that the connectivity to the internet is strong enough. Other than that, single gadget means single point of failure. Try to imagine if our smart phone breaks down, so definitely we can't listen to the music, connect to the internet, access our files, capture the pictures etc. So sometimes, it is better to have many gadgets thus when one gadget breaks down, we can still use other gadget and their functions are not affected.

USEFUL OR NOT??

I think this product will be very useful because it is multifunctions thus not requiring us to bring many gadget everywhere. It can also save our pocket which sometimes has limited space. Definitely, I don't have to bring heavy gadgets,yeah!!

Then, it shows that someone is really updated to the latest technology. Lastly, I enjoy using this kind of smartphone though sometimes I face some problems, but it's much more better compared to the other gadgets, right!!

CHAPTER 1 BLOG REFLECTION

Computer crashed?? If it happened, definitely I would die because I really rely on computers to do all of my assignments. Besides that, I am 100% sure that everyone really needs the computers to do their works. For the example, all of the housewives need washing machine to wash clothes. If the washing machine crashed, how they gonna wash the clothes? They still have lots of chores to do such as cooking and taking care of their children. They will be in trouble. Besides that, all people need cell phone to contact each other. Everyone will suffer if all the

computer crashed. I can't imagine if all the computers were crashed.

For me, the most badly hit if all the computers are crashed are the IT engineers. They will be asked by the government to repair all of the computers asap and maybe create another computer that are very resistant to any damages. They will be under great pressure because everyone is hoping on them to settle this problem. But actually, maybe the computer crashed might make everybody to feel the way like indigenous people live thus learning how to appreciate thing:))

Last but not least, everybody is gonna die if all the computers were crashed. Maybe a new disease will appear such as "COMPUTER PRESSURE DISEASE" which can make people feel extremely stressed and will die soon. Who knows right?

WEBSITE!!!

This task is quite interesting because i am free to choose my favorite website. But it is not that easy because I need to choose only ONE website. Ermm, nevermind. I have the most interesting one here. Definitely everyone has known about this website but I still want to talk about it. FACEBOOK
Hahahaha..This the website that i would like to describe.

1)affliation
-Of course it is affiliated because now some governments in certain countries have facebook accounts. This really shows that facebook is really updated and important. Besides that, Facebook is also connected to some business organizations for instance Farmville game organization, and others. Lots of reputable institution use facebook as a medium to introduce themselves, market their product, and entertain users. YOUTUBE is one of the example.
Besides, its free for us to give opinion:))

2)audience
-facebook is for all. Everyone can sign up to facebook for many reasons. They might sign up because of games, business, friends etc.

3)authority
-yup of course facebook list the authors and the credentials. These to make sure that everyone can know who created that application, causes etc.

4)content
-the website is really organized as we can easily use it. You might find your friends easily by clicking search tab then you can play games via its application. There are lots of things that you can do via facebook

5)currency
-Yup, the content is always updated and current. The most outstanding example is when Haitians were facing earthquake, Facebook then launched a program to collect fund for Haitians. Thus, it keeps updated with lots of changes and improvement.

6)design
-Frankly, facebook design is quite simple and not interesting at all. However, Facebook's users are kept increasing because of its advantages

7)objectivity
-facebook has lots of ads. But if you dont like it, you can easily get rid of it. you can delete that ads. Thats easy right. Everything at ur finger. but, it is not free of preconceptions because every user has their own right to post anything they like. But if other users dont like it, they can block that user or application.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, FACEBOOK IS VERY FLEXIBLE AND ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS WEBSITE RIGHT NOW. EVERYONE CONNECT VIA FACEBOOK..:))

FIRST TIME IN CSCI CLASS ( introductory task )

I want to skip from this class. I want to drop this subject but it is compulsory for all Actuarial Science students. huh. Then I decide to go and maybe I can have some interest in this class. The first minute I enter this class, I feel something attract me. Yeah, I really love this class now. Because of my first homework, now I know how to create a blog. Thanks Mr. AC. Arghh..I forgot about the real task. I need to do something about it.
Let me introduce myself first k. My name is Ahmad Faiz bin Yusof but people called me Faiz. But some of my friends called me Gemuk,haha. Nevermind, just forget it but please call me Faiz k. I am taking actuarial science in ADP and I am in the first semester. By the way, I live in Casa Subang right now with all of my friends here.
Actually, computers do not give a lot of influence to me but I admit that they help me a lot in my daily life. I always use them to finish my homeworks and for sure to connect with all of friends especially those who are abroad. Besides, computers help me to edit my essay,haha. I can check my spelling and grammar via computers. So at least, I can have less grammar and spelling mistakes. By the way, I can facebooking,haha. Love it so much because I can play games such as Farmville, Zoo World etc.
Expectations? Definitely everyone will target an A for this course. But, for me, I really hope that I can love computer subject after this. Actually, I like to learn new things especially computer subjects because of past experience, I became to hate it. I just got 53% and just got pass. Lucky for me because I don't have to repeat this subject. So I really hope that I'll miss this subject after this semester. I want to learn something in this course especially about Front Page since this will be my first time to know about it. Erm Sir, I also expect for you to teach us slowly because i am quite slow in computers. Last but not least, I really hope that I can score this course, get something at the end of this semester, and be able to apply what I have learnt.
I think, this is all about my first class. Thank you again sir because now I know how to use blog,Yahoo!! I am so happy with it!!

1st TIME USING BLOG!!

I feel really depressed today because I need to create a blog which I never do before. I think it is the reason why I don't like CSCI,haha. I took about two hours to create a blog since I just tried to do it alone. Then, I almost gave up because I failed to create it. So many problems appeared such as wrong password, forgot my email etc. I wanted to cry because i failed to do my first assignment but I have promised myself to do the best in this program. So I tried again and again until I succeeded. I feel so HAPPY because I manage to do it. The most important thing here is, I want to thank to Mr. Andrian because he made me know how to create a blog. Now i know, the important of computer science. I really appreciate it Mr. AC!! Thank you very much because asking us to do this. If not, I might not know how to create a blog forever:))
